Curious George meets my monkeys!!!

We had the BEST weekend! Saturday, Beth and I took the boys to the Curious George exhibit at the Children's Museum in Boston. I surprised them that morning when they woke up, with special "tickets" for their day. They had bananas for breakfast while watching the new Curious George movie...then we jumped in the pre-packed car...picked up coffee, juice and MUNCHKINS...then picked up Beth before heading into the city. They were SO excited! Cole was chanting, "happy, happy, happy, I'm happy!" the whole way to pick up Beth. It was so cute.

The boys loved the museum and walked the whole morning. This may seem like no big deal...but for me? Having my two 2-year olds...listening, holding hands, walking and following direction was like hitting the lottery! After we had conquered all three levels, we walked over to the Barking Crab for lunch. Another huge success! We had to wait 15 minutes for the restaurant to even open, and these two were inquisitive, patient, funny...I was so proud.

Here are some pictures from our day. Enjoy!

Easter Slideshow

Here's a quick little slideshow from Easter. (It may look fuzzy during your first viewing. Try it a second time and the photos should come in clearer.) We took the boys to a Easter egg hunt at the country club on Saturday and after they hung out with their favorite friends, Sophie, Ella and Gavin. Sophie and Ella are identical, too and they are all infatuated with each other. The girls are always asking for the boys and vice versa. Tommy has a major crush on Sophie. I'm sure you can see why...they are super cute!!

Gavin is their best friend and when they get together they become the three amigos. :) Wrestling, tackling, chasing, playing trucks...you know...typical GUY stuff. I've thrown in some pictures from Easter morning as well. They LOVED their baskets and insisted that they had found "bunny foot prints" in the front hall. haha It was just a great day!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

20/20 x 2

This morning we took the boys to get their eyes checked. When they were babies, my pediatrician thought their eye color was unique enough to warrant a visit to the eye doctor. (They have blue/green eyes with thick brown streaks that start at the center and go to the outer edge - very cool!) Anyway, at that appointment, the doctor hinted that they *might* need glasses one day.

Today was the big check-up and the result? No glasses necessary! The boys have "perfect" vision according to the eye doctor. YAY! I had been trying to figure out HOW we would handle glasses with these two monkeys. Great news!!!

Two and a half!!!

I'm sitting here on the couch with my buddy Cole nestled up beside me watching Toy Story. They just woke up from naps. He said, "Come on mom! Sit here. (Pats the couch.) We'll watch Toy Story." Tommy settled in after a short discussion about why the Easter Bunny didn't come today.

I can't believe these guys are already 2.5. Where did the time go? I have to say, we are loving this age. We had an awesome day...much like any other. One filled with childhood wonder, imagination and activity.

Somedays, I want to freeze them in time. The other day, Tommy made a face and I just had a flashback to when he was a baby. It feels like yesterday! Where are my little squishy, pudgy babies with Michelin man thighs and giggles galore? They have grown into smart, imaginative, kind and loving boys who both start and end their day with laughter. We are blessed. I am so proud to be their mommy!
