A sad day...

This morning our very dear family friend Marilyn passed away. Cancer stole her from us too soon. She was a beautiful person - always so full of life and fun. For those of you who don't know already, Marilyn and Jason are my parents closest friends and she has been a part of my life since I was small. The boys had the opportunity to see her several weeks ago and we had some great laughs as usual.

As I went through my photos to find the perfect one to post here in tribute...I came across several of her dancing...lots of her laughing...every single one depicting such good times. These are the memories we will hold on to forever.

Food Shopping 101

The boys had their first trip to Wholefoods! I've been lucky enough to have my mom watching the kids for me the past few months while I grocery shopped, but the other day I needed some last minute items so brought them along. They are just the right size for the cool race car shopping carts there...and the boys loved them! All through the parking lot they were using their steering wheels and laughing. The moment we entered the store though, they sat there in a quiet state of wonder. It was so funny! They stared at people...at vegetables...at the aisles of food...and never uttered a peep. Now I know where to go when things start getting wild around here!

Here are some cute photos from our visit.

Even more tricks!

Okay...so everytime I try to get a video of my new little crawler...he sees the camera...drops to an army crawl and starts wiggling his way to me. He LOVES the camera and so the fastest route is still the army crawl. *sigh* Oh well...hopefully I can capture it today. I heard some giggling this morning as I was in the kitchen and realized that Tommy had managed to get out of the family room and was about to wiggle his way in...I wasn't sure if he was crawling so grabbed the camera. So cute...

The other big news is that he can now sit up on his own! I plopped him down with his toys on his tummy this morning...then...he just decided to sit up! It was so cute! I made a big deal about it and he was just looking at me like it was no biggie. :)

And now for his most exciting trick. Every morning the boys sit in their bouncy chairs and have a bottle. They've never really attempted to get out before. I neglected to buckle Tommy this morning...walked out to grab his bottle...came back in and this is what I found. He was actually on all fours in the crawl position...but started to turn back around when he saw the look on my face.

Best Pals

I just had to post these. Today the boys are inseparable and Cole is mimicking everything that Tommy does...including rocking on hands and knees! (I wonder if Cole might skip the army crawl all together and just go for it!) They are the happiest little guys.
Here you can see Cole without his helmet...just a little break after his nap. He has about three more weeks with it on...but we can already see a difference. His "square head" is rounding out. :) Such a sweetheart.
Anyway, enjoy!
