My brother, my friend

The boys NEEDED to get out after being cooped up with all the rain, so Kevin and I took the boys for a hike in Blue Hills this morning. They LOVED it!! We saw otters, ducks, deer and all kinds of huge birds at the outdoor museum at Trailside. Then we hiked until to a clearing and sat down on a great flat rock with amazing views for snacks. It is beautiful out today!

My favorite photo was one I captured of them holding hands while climbing the hill. It is awesome...I played around with some effects on it. But I am definitely printing the original to hang in the house. It just reminds me how special the bond is that twins share. I feel so lucky to be able to witness it!!

Funny...

So there was a gas leak outside of our house today. They didn't actually find it until nearly 5:00pm. The crews arrived around dinner time and we were informed that they would be digging for a good part of the night.

This is all well and good, except the digging was happening RIGHT outside of the boys bedroom and the workmen arrived with HUGE diggers complete with flashing lights and loud jack hammers. The boys went nuts! Kevin had to physically lay in bed with Cole and hold him down as he kept jumping up in his bed, leaning over to the window and pulling the curtains back and yelling, "Woah! Look! HUGE trucks!! DIGGERS!!!"

So funny! It is a miracle that they are sleeping right now. They are still digging away out there...

Can you guess???

Can you guess Tommy's favorite letter of the alphabet?

Rainy days...

As everyone knows, we've been getting LOTS of rain around here lately. Lucky for us, our house has stayed high and dry. But the boys have been going bananas! They want OUT! The most recent storms were warm enough that some puddle jumping was in order. We suited up in our "Fireman Sam" outfits and hit the driveway. (The boys are obsessed with a PBS show from Scotland called Fireman Sam.) They loved splashing in the puddles and getting each other wet. It was after all this fun that Cole informed me that his rain boots didn't work. They were "too full". He was trying to say too small. :) And he was right! A visit to the shoe store revealed that they went from a 7.5 to a size 9!

Here are some rainy day photos....
